Post Summary
The O’Shaughnessy Research Group at the University of Dublin, Trinity College, is seeking to recruit a postdoctoral research fellow to develop novel battery thermal management systems (BTMS). The focus of this post will be
(i) the design, construction, and commissioning of experimental fluid and thermal characterisation facilities for application to lithium-ion batteries and battery modules.
(ii) the carrying out of a series of experiments using these rigs, as well as the reporting and analysis of the results from the experiments.
The experiments are predicted to include a range of working fluids and operating (saturation) conditions conducive to pool boiling, flow boiling, and condensation. Frequent collaboration with other project team members is anticipated. In addition, some of the research tools and experiments will need to be developed during the project.
