The culturally diverse Research Group “Plant Architecture ” lead by Prof. Dr. Thorsten Schnurbusch is primarily interested in basic research questions concerning how cereal inflorescences, called spikes, develop and how this contributes to yield formation.
Your tasks:
- You carry out the harvest of individual spikes and assist with the row and plot harvests.
- You support data collection in field and greenhouse trials.
- You conduct phenotyping of barley and wheat spikes and data recording.
- Additionally, you are involved in post-harvest processing work.
Your qualifications and skills:
- Ideally, you are enrolled in a Master’s program in plant sciences, crop science, plant breeding, or a related field.
- You are interested in fieldwork and data collection.
- Knowledge or experience with data analysis is an asset.
