Our division develops innovative proteomic approaches to understand proteome regulation in cancer, both in mechanistic and clinical studies. To expand our activities, we are looking for a postdoctoral researcher with broad experience in mass spectrometry-based proteomics.

Your tasks

We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher with broad experience in mass spectrometry-based proteomics to join a project aimed at understanding cellular plasticity, therapy response, and drug resistance in myeloid leukemia. The successful candidate will carry out proteomic experiments with access to state-of-the-art mass spectrometry and computational infrastructure. The position entails active involvement in both experimental procedures and computational data analysis, alongside the improvement of advanced methodologies, including single-cell proteomics. The project is embedded in the Collaborative Research Center “Cellular Plasticity in Malignant Myeloid Diseases – From Mechanisms to Therapy” and involves close interactions with academic and clinical partners in the consortium.


Your profile

  • PhD in the field of mass spectrometry-based proteomics
  • Ample experience in mass spectrometry-based proteomics, including sample preparation and hands-on use of modern mass spectrometers and nano/UHPLC systems
  • Experience with state-of-the-art proteomic workflows, including MS acquisition (e.g. DDA, DIA, PRM) and data analysis with dedicated software tools.
  • Computer literacy with at least basic programming skills (R, Python).
  • Analytical mindset, with a keen interest in advancing proteomic methodologies
  • Knowledge of cancer biology is an advantage
