Job Description:

The School of Global Affairs and Public Policy invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of either Associate Professor of Practice or Professor of Practice in Global Affairs to begin in Fall 2025. The incumbent will be offered a four-year renewable contract at the Public Policy and Administration Department (PPAD). Successful candidates are expected to teach subjects within the international security concentration in the Master of Global Affairs (MGA) program. Areas of focus for courses to teach include Conflict Prevention and Resolution; Role of Force: Strategy and Statecraft; Arms, Arms Control and Disarmament; Issues in International Security; and Diplomacy: Theory and Practice.  Applicants should demonstrate commitment to teaching excellence, student-focused pedagogy and experiential learning, as well as to the University's mission and values.


Requirements:

Applicants must hold a minimum of an MA degree in the relevant field(s). However, a PhD degree is preferable but not required for the position.
A minimum of 10-year record of practice in the field of diplomacy, international security, and conflict resolution is required for the position of Associate Professor of Practice, and 15 years for a Professor of Practice. Priority will be given to applicants who bring relevant practice background together with a proven record of research and / or prior teaching experience.
