The International Centre for Theoretical Physics Asia-Pacific (ICTP-AP) operates in affiliation to the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), and is under the auspices of UNESCO, in cooperation with the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the National Science Foundation China (NSFC) and the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP, Trieste). We invite applications for a full-time postdoctoral position in applications of non-equilibrium QFT at early Universe. This position will be working on (non-)thermal effects of particle physics at the early Universe, in order to better explore particle phenomenology Beyond the Standard Model. Preference will be given to experienced candidates with a strong background in thermal/non-thermal quantum field theory.

The position is for two years, with the possibility of a third-year extension. The salary for the position is around 320,000 CNY per year before tax. Additional funding is available for expenses of travels and conferences. The position includes long-term visits to international institutes (in Europe and Asia), up to three months per year, during which the travel and living expense are covered by ICTP-AP.

The applicant should have:  • A Ph.D. in Particle Physics. An official proof of Ph.D. graduation by the time the position starts is strongly preferred.   • Strong background in particle physics and familiarity with programming languages commonly used in relevent research.   • Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and a record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.  Application Materials:   • A cover letter and CV;   • A list of publications;  • A brief research statement;   • Three reference letters from experts in the relevant fields.
