Position Description
Applications are invited to two postdoctoral openings in Theoretical Physics in the School of Physics and Astronomy of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China. The successful candidate will join Prof. Antonio M. García-García  Research Group. Research profile: Candidats with a previous background on the SYK model, low dimensional quantum gravity, many-body quantum chaos or continuously monitord systems are especially encouraged to apply. However, other research profiles, within the realm of theoretical physics, especially will also be seriously considered. 
Requirements: A PhD degree in theoretical physics or related subjects.
Eligibility: Candidates of all nationalities are welcome to apply. The working language is English. 
Duration: 2 year with possibility of extension
Deadline: Applications will  start to be reviewed in early December. The starting date of the contract is fully flexible provided that the applicant has already a PhD degree. 
Salary:  At least 300000RMB per year.  Additional benefits include basic health insurance and a travel grant to stimulate scientific exchange. An indication of the cost of living in Shanghai: Price of lunch/dinner on campus ~10-15RMB Monthly rent for a one-bedroom apartment around campus ~5000RMB/month
