Sessional Lecturer - HIS494H1-F Gandhi's Global Conversations
Course Description:
Primary source analysis of global circuits of ethico-political thought via work and life of Gandhi. Charts transnational environment of Gandhian thought (eg. Ruskin and Tolstoy), its critics (advocates of minority rights, also revolutionary violence) and global afterlife (eg. King, Mandela). Teaches methods in intellectual and political history of the global.
Minimum qualifications:
Master of Arts in History or related field required. Mastery of the subject area as related to the course description
Preferred qualifications:
PhD in History preferred. Demonstrated evidence of superior undergraduate teaching.
Description of duties:
Developing syllabus; course preparation; Teaching one two-hour classes weekly, in-person lectures; Marking; Conducting scheduled office hours (1 hour/week)
Duties of this position shall be performed at the campus on which the position is located.

Sessional Lecturer I: $ 9,820.70

Sessional Lecturer III: $10,760.28
Sessional Lecturer III, Long term: $11,030.36
