Position: Postdoctoral FellowMouse Neurodevelopment and Rare Diseases

Location: CRCHUM, Université de Montréal, Montréal, QC, Canada

Start Date: Flexible (open until filled)

Duration: 2 years (renewable based on performance and funding)

Project Overview: We have identified a novel gene involved in neurodevelopmental disorders, in collaboration with clinicians and a patient association. You will lead the in vivo functional analysis of this gene using conditional KO mouse models, with a focus on brain development, neuronal differentiation, and seizure susceptibility. All models are already generated.

Required Qualifications PhD in neuroscience, developmental biology, or related field

  • Strong expertise in mouse neurodevelopment (mandatory)
  • Skilled in histology, immunofluorescence, and molecular analysis of mouse brains
  • Comfortable with in vivo mouse handling and genotyping
  • Experience in EEG, behavior, or transcriptomic analyses is a plus
