Graduate Research Assistant, The Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy

The Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy (JSGS) is recruiting a Graduate Research Assistant to work with Professor Haizhen Mou.


The Research Assistant will be assigned to: 

  • Help with grant applications;
  • Help with ethics application, surveys, and interviews; and
  • Other work as assigned.

The general location of work will be the Diefenbaker Building where JSGS is located.

Required Number of Hours: Casual, up to 12 hours per week
Duration of Employment: Immediately to December 19, 2025
Qualifications (Skills and Abilities)

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a public policy-relevant social science discipline (i.e., political science, economics, etc.).

Preference will be given to applicants currently registered in a graduate program at JSGS at the University of Saskatchewan.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
  • Knowledge of quantitative research methods
  • Experience doing literature reviews
  • Experience doing ethics submissions
  • Experience conducting surveys
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage time effectively
