About the role

As part of the research team in the Centre for New Energy Transition Research, the Research Fellow, Power System Stability will support the delivery of funded research project from CSIRO AR-PST. You will also contribute to other research activities related to inverter system and load modelling, small-signal and voltage stability assessments and control development.

You will:

  • contribute to delivering the CfNETR project(s) in smart power system engineering;

  • develop literature reviews and maintain data and knowledge repositories;

  • prepare and present research findings various forums;

  • contribute to the preparation, or individual preparation of research proposals to external funding bodies, as required.

About you

Working with Director of CfNETR and Stream Lead of Future Grid and Community Energy you will have demonstrated experience in Power Systems with research experience in small-signal and voltage stability of Power System with IBRs.

You will possess:

  • experience in working with the state-of-the-art power system analytical tools;

  • demonstrated experience in programming skills;

  • demonstrated experience in preparing and publishing research material; and

  • ability to work autonomously but also to work collegially as part of a large research team.
