The Opportunity
The Program Manager will play a critical leadership role in shaping the future of the university's infrastructure. Reporting to the Director, Project Delivery, the Program Manager will oversee the planning, management, and execution of key infrastructure projects, ensuring they align with the university’s broader Pedagogical Strategy and organisational objectives.
This role is responsible for delivering Major Projects in line with VU’s Strategic Educational Infrastructure Framework that integrates innovative approaches to optimising the university’s property assets, enhancing both the educational and operational environments.

About You
You are an innovative and driven leader, with extensive experience in infrastructure management and project delivery, ideally within the education sector or similar large-scale organisations.
You will also possess:
- Demonstrated experience and comprehensive knowledge of the regulatory requirements within the property industry, including best practices in portfolio management.
- Some exposure to property development management.
- A solid understanding of relevant operating standards and a thorough familiarity with occupational health and safety (OHS) legislation and compliance requirements.
- Experience in formulating policies and procedures, as well as establishing monitoring, reporting systems, and budget management processes.
- Proven leadership in the delivery of strategy, development, and infrastructure services, focusing on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Conditions & Benefits
This full-time position will be offered on a 5 year fixed term contract basis. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, including an employer superannuation contribution of up to 17%.
