About the Position
The Executive Officer (Learning & Teaching) reports directly to the Associate Deputy Vice-Chancellor (ADVC) of College of VE’s Learning and Teaching portfolio as this role will lead and enable key strategic and operational L&T projects within the ADVC’s remit. The Executive Officer will work independently and proactively on a range of projects to enable improvements in L&T processes. This role will represent the ADVC L&T at project level, expertly synthesize information from various sources to uncover valuable insights and emerging trends, enable key L&T improvement initiatives and provide efficient project reporting and tracking.
Your capacity to engage in multiple tasks simultaneously, coupled with your autonomy and strong interpersonal and communication skills, positions you as a highly desirable candidate.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have:
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and the proven ability to liaise effectively and discreetly with a wide range of senior executives, management, staff and external parties on complex, sensitive and confidential issues.
Agile project management skills in a large complex organisation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to synthesize complex information in a timely and concise manner, identify trends and formulate recommendations.
Strategic mindset with the ability to navigate both strategic and operational complexity and ambiguity.
Experience and expertise in organisational planning and time management.
Ability to translate key strategic messages into high quality PowerPoint presentations that are of senior management/board quality. Advanced Excel skills and highly competent on O365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, etc.)
Capacity to prioritise tasks, solve problems independently and be calm under pressure.
High level of understanding of relevant University Policies, procedures and processes and ability to assess documents for compliance
Mandatory Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business or other related area and extensive relevant experience in educational contexts
