Food, energy, ecosystem services and water: Nexus approach in Slovakia and the EU
Supervisor: prof. Ing. Ján Pokrivčák, PhD.

The dissertation will focus on the valuation of water from an economic, environmental and social perspective, will use cost-benefit analysis to assess investments in water infrastructure and common facilities and facilities on agricultural land, and will evaluate economic policy from the perspective of the application of the NEXUS approach. A case study will be conducted in western Slovakia. Econometric analysis and environmental cost benefit analysis will be used.

Dizertačná práca sa bude venovať oceňovaniu vody z ekonomického, environmentálneho a sociálneho hľadiska, využije analýzu výnosov a nákladov pri posudzovaní investícií do vodnej infraštruktúry a spoločných zariadení na poľnohospodárskej pôde a zhodnotí hospodársku politiku z hľadiska aplikácie prístupu NEXUS. Zrealizuje sa prípadová štúdia na území západného Slovenska. Použije sa ekonometrická analýza a environmentálna analýza nákladov a prínosov.
