Scientific Advisor: António Morais Aguiar da Costa (ist24583)
Organic Unit: Scientific Area of Systems, Urbanism, Transportation and Environment
Scholarship Theme: Development and Enhancement of SmartLCA, Dynamic LCA Database and Blockchain Integration
with BIM Object Libraries
Duration: 6 months
Maximum Duration Including Renewals: 12 months

Objectives
Management and continuous improvement of the SmartLCA tool, focused on BIM-based Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
Development of a database to support dynamic LCA methodologies.
Implementation of blockchain solutions for circular products, integrated with a BIM object library.
Support for the development of the Digital Cockpit BIM, including integration and functional validation.
Work Plan
• Management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the SmartLCA tool, with a focus on life cycle assessment
based on BIM models.
• Development and structuring of a database to support dynamic life cycle assessment.
• Implementation of blockchain solutions for circular products, integrated with a BIM object library.
• Support for the development of the Digital Cockpit BIM, including functional integration and technical support.

Selection process

Contest Evaluation Method(s)
Curricular evaluation weighted to 40% on a scale of 100 points with a minimum of 70 points needed for admission.
Experiência técnica em bim, lca, programação ou desenvolvimento de bases de dados weighted to 50% on a scale of 100points with a minimum of 70 points needed for admission.
Entrevista de seleção, caso o júri considere necessário weighted to 10% on a scale of 100 points with a minimum of 70points needed for admission.
Conditions for the Contest Evaluation
Academic background (40%) – Relevance of the academic field to the work plan.Technical experience in BIM, LCA, programming, or database development (50%).Interview, if the jury considers it necessary (10%).
