The Polytechnic Institute of Guarda (IPG) is inviting applications for one Research Grant (BI) within the project:

“EBIGuardian – Beira Interior-Guarda Elderly: Immunological Biomarkers of Cognition”
(Reference: COMPETE2030-FEDER-00793600 | Operation no. 16754)

This project is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the COMPETE 2030 – Innovation and Digital Transition Programme, within the FCT framework for Scientific Research and Technological Development Projects (IC&DT 2023).

The selected candidate will integrate a multidisciplinary team working on ageing, cognition, and health.

• Hold a Master’s degree in Psychology or a related field;
• Be enrolled in a PhD programme or a non-degree academic course;
• Meet the eligibility criteria defined by the FCT Research Grant Regulation (RBI-FCT). 

Specific Requirements

• Knowledge in psychogerontology
• Experience in:
  • Data collection with older adults
  • Psychological assessment and/or intervention
  • Research in ageing and health
• Availability for fieldwork in different locations
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and international team
• Scientific research and publication experience
• Proficiency in English

Eligibility criteria

• Hold a Master’s degree in Psychology or a related field;
• Be enrolled in a PhD programme or a non-degree academic course;
• Meet the eligibility criteria defined by the FCT Research Grant Regulation (RBI-FCT). 

Selection process

Candidates will be evaluated based on merit (0–20 scale):

Phase 1 – CV Evaluation

• Master’s degree grade (40%)
• Academic, scientific, and professional profile (60%) 

Phase 2 – Interview (if applicable)

Final Score

• With interview: 60% CV + 40% interview
• Without interview: 100% CV 

Minimum required score: 10/20
