Position Description
One fully funded PhD position (3 years) on mathematical modelling of immunotherapies of hematologic malignancies is available at the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics in Sofia, Bulgaria under the supervision of Dr. Peter Rashkov, Dept. of Mathematical Modelling and Numerical Analysis.
The position is funded through the Marie Sklodowska Curie Doctoral Network ACHILLES, which brings together a broad spectrum of expertise, including basic research to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets, mathematical and computational modeling to predict disease progression and therapy response, the design and validation of innovative therapies, and their preclinical and clinical evaluation. This rich environment will provide PhD students in ACHILLES with a comprehensive understanding of the full translational pathway, from fundamental discoveries to the development of new therapeutic strategies and diagnostic tools that directly benefit patients with leukemia and lymphoma.
Employment details:

  • Duration: 36 months.

  • Monthly living allowance: approx. 2,500EUR/month (before tax).

  • Monthly mobility allowance: 600EUR/month.

  • Monthly family allowance: 660EUR/month, if applicable, depending on the family situation of the PhD student.

  • Location: Institute of Mathematics and Informatics in Sofia, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (Sofia, Bulgaria).
