| Position Summary | This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Marketing and Graphic Design Intern position for Oregon State University (OSU). The OSU Sustainability Office seeks an enthusiastic student to coordinate events, design and deliver marketing and outreach materials, and manage outreach via the web, social media, and in person. The Sustainability Office is the central support organization for sustainability efforts at OSU and serves the broader university through a wide variety of services and programs. This position supports the Sustainability Office team in delivering various programs that engage students, faculty and staff. | Position Duties | This position involves communications design and storytelling via multiple channels in a diverse media landscape that includes social media, print media, and video. Work schedule can be flexible but must remain responsive to workload. The successful candidate will work 10-12 hours per week during the academic year and up to 20 hours per week during summer on the following: ● Social media and web content management o Update and expand the OSU sustainability website using Drupal o Design digital media including social media graphics, informational slides and other visual elements to support various projects and programs o Adhere to OSU brand guidelines and requirements o Manage a robust social media presence on the OSU Ecologue blog, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok o Be proactive in creating content and setting outreach goals o Analyze successes and opportunities via detailed analytics ● Assist with events and coordinate event planning o Coordinate and plan campaigns and events that showcase sustainability programs and projects to diverse audiences o Staff display tables and coordinate tabling schedules for other staff ● Design print media such as posters, brochures, quarter-sheets and various creative marketing materials (ex. stickers) and manage production of materials ● Create the bi-weekly Sustainability at OSU newsletter using MailChimp ● Maintain consistent communication within the office and with other university and community entities ● Provide support with other projects as needed. |
