The Athletics Department is seeking an individual to serve as a Student Sports Operation Student Assistant (Indoor Volleyball). Duties include:
- Coordinate with the Athletic Department Administration and serve as a liaison for Indoor Volleyball team with various university units (housing and SAAC) on issues related to each respective area
- Works with Head Coach and assistant coaches with the teams and recruiting travel (including travel authorization requests, buses/vans, hotels, and food); game day operations for the teams at home (away, as needed) competitions
- Follows FIU procedures in handling all ordering of supplies
- Reviews, understands, and abides by all department procedures
- Maintains confidentiality for the department and all student matters Treats with utmost confidentiality and sensitivity of any matter pertaining to academic and personal data of student athletes and any information either directly or indirectly impacting the University and/or Athletic Department
- Adheres to all State of Florida, University, NCAA, Conference USA, and department rules and policies pertaining to the position of Sports Operation Student Assistant (Indoor Volleyball) Report any known NCAA violations or concerns to the Director of Athletic Compliance
- Performs other related duties are required as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that logically relate to the position
- Assist with social media
- Assist with stats
- Assist with travel operations
- Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends and at locations outside of the University
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed

Student Assistant
- Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student at FIU with a minimum of six (6) credits as an Undergraduate student or three (3) credits as a Graduate student during the Fall and Spring semesters.
- During the Summer semesters, Students need only remain enrolled and are not required to take credit hours, but cannot have graduated.
- Upon decreasing credit hours or graduating, student employment must end.
- Varies according to department needs
- Flexible hours as needed - nights, weekends and holidays
$14.00/hour
