Job Summary
Student Affairs at Auburn University is excited to begin the search for a Student Programs Coordinator! This position develops, coordinates, plans, promotes, and performs student-focused programming and leadership development within Greek Life and Student Affairs. Responsibilities include managing student programming, prospective member and family initiatives, and student events. This role supports Greek Life organizations, including the Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council, and Greek Life auxiliary groups, such as Greek Programming Board, Order of Omega, and Rho Lambda.
Essential Functions
  • Support recruitment processes for students to join fraternity, or sorority organizations.
  • Engage and develop Greek Life processes and programs, including new member education process management, leadership training, and retreats. Evaluates programs and learning outcomes for student leaders to apply to student experience.
  • Support Greek Life objectives and chapter objectives by meeting individually with chapter and council officers. Offers advice and support regarding organization operations.
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders specific to the fraternity and sorority community, including advisors, inter/national headquarters, local law enforcement agencies, and Auburn community officials.
  • Communicates and educates on compliance with university, Greek Life, and national policies. Acts as a liaison to enforce policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates with departments, committees, and individuals throughout the University to advance and enhance the effectiveness of services and programs. Provides support to other Student Affairs initiatives as needed.
  • Recruits, trains, supervises, and evaluates student leaders by hosting meetings, constant communication, and providing direction for the initiatives and programs.
  • Manage and coordinate large-scale programming for students in Greek Life and for new/incoming students interested in joining.

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of experience OR
  • Master’s degree

Scope of Experience: Experience in student affairs administration, student programming, orientation, or related field.
