Position Overview
This position is for a 12-month senior lecturer teacher educator that will be hired to teach 10 graduate and undergraduate courses each year (in person courses as well as the supervision of clinical and field experiences across autumn, spring, and summer sessions), advise, and mentor students in the Workforce Development and Education program. The courses will pertain to the alternatively and traditionally certified teacher preparation programs in career and technical education. English proficiency and good communication skills are required for this position.

Performance Objectives
- To design and deliver high-quality in person and online graduate and undergraduate courses for the Workforce Development and Education program using innovative teaching practices.
- To advise and mentor students.
- To supervise clinical and field experiences of teaching.
- To build the pedagogical knowledge of teacher candidates and in service teachers.
- To continually update courses/curricula ensuring so that they align and remain relevant to the everyday roles and responsibilities as well as realities of teaching within middle and high schools.
- To ensure that courses/curricula and assessments meet teacher education accreditation standards and participate in program accreditation processes.
- To model best teaching practices in teaching.
Education and Experience Requirements
Required : a doctorate degree (e.g., EdD or PhD) or All But Dissertation (ABD) in career and technical education, workforce development/education, or a relevant discipline (e.g., business education, family and consumer sciences education). Relevant and effective K-12 teaching experience is required.
Desired : Relevant and effective higher education teaching experience as well as experience supervising clinical and field experiences of teacher candidates and/or practicing teachers desired.

The Department of Educational Studies is a multi-disciplinary department, offering both undergraduate and graduate programs.
