| Job Summary | This position is with the Menifee County Extension Office, which is located at 140 Main Street, Frenchburg, KY. Under the supervision of the County Extension Agent for Family & Consumer Sciences and/or Area Extension Agent for Food and Nutrition, the Nutrition Program Assistant Senior will serve as an educator to youth and families of Menifee County. The goal is to encourage limited resource clients in the community to improve their nutritional statuses and adopt healthy lifestyles. Through recruitment of eligible participants, delivery of nutrition curriculum and evaluation of outcomes, this position serves as an educational resource for the target audience. Additionally, this position will work closely with community leaders as well as NEP state staff to analyze and evaluate best practices and efficiency of programs. The Nutrition Program Assistant Senior will be expected to serve as a mentor to new and current assistants, helping NEP assistants to increase effectiveness in programs as well as achieve various personal and program goals. Overall, the Nutrition Program Assistant Senior should be a well-rounded educator, recruiter, evaluator, and mentor. IEBC |
