This Program Analyst, School of Medicine Administrative Initiatives uses advanced operational concepts and objectives to manage and execute complex initiatives across the School of Medicine (SOM). The incumbent will oversee a broad range of programs and processes with significant impact across the organization, requiring in-depth evaluation, strategic development, and implementation of innovative solutions. Key responsibilities include:
Leadership Development Program (LDP): Manage all aspects of the SOM Leadership Development Program, including application processes, program development, speaker coordination, mentorship components, and advisory board management. Develop strategies for education, communication, and process improvement to enhance program outcomes.
Achievement Awards & Recognition Programs: Oversee nomination submission and review processes for SOM Achievement Awards, ensuring alignment with program goals. Manage administrative aspects of SOM SPOT awards and collaborate with HR and stakeholders to implement process improvements.
Human Resources Liaison: Partner with the Director of Administrative Services to serve as HR liaison for SOM Dean's Office, conducting analyses of complex HR systems and processes, submitting and approving transactions, and recommending improvements for organizational efficiency.
Event Planning and Coordination: Lead planning efforts for key SOM events, including the annual CAO/DOMT Retreat, Manager Grand Rounds, onboarding programs, and recruitment processes for SOM CAO and Dean's Office staff leadership positions. Develop agendas, materials, and communications to ensure successful implementation.
Program Analysis and Development: Conduct research and analysis to identify best practices, recommend process improvements, and develop innovative strategies for leadership development, recruitment, and performance evaluation programs.
Administrative Leadership: Direct ad-hoc projects and administrative initiatives, including compensation surveys, focal equity reviews, and performance evaluation processes. Provide data analyses and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate will regularly work on initiatives requiring independent judgment, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to manage projects and programs with broad impact across the organization. This role involves collaboration with high-level stakeholders, development of new systems and processes, and oversight of multiple complex programs.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $90,700 - $193,500 (Annual Rate).
