| Job Summary | The Neuromechanics & Applied Locomotion Laboratory at the University of Utah is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to work across multiple funded research studies at the intersection of balance control, wearable sensors, physical therapy rehabilitation, and mild traumatic brain injuries (i.e., concussions). The proposed project will include working with wearable sensors for continuous monitoring of mobility, neuromechanical assessments of balance during standing and walking, and physical therapy interventions to improve balance after concussions. The postdoctoral fellow will have the opportunity to collaborate on several other studies in the Neuromechanics & Applied Locomotion Laboratory spanning balance, locomotor control, and rehabilitation. The postdoctoral fellow will work under the direct supervision of Dr. Peter Fino, faculty in the Department of Health & Kinesiology. The postdoctoral fellow will also work in close collaboration with other postdoctoral fellows, research staff, graduate students, and faculty across the University of Utah and collaborating institutions such as Oregon Health & Science University. The position will stay open until filled. The funding for this position is available for 2 years, and may be renewed for additional years pending the availability of funding.
