Junior Specialist - Yue Lab

The Yue Lab at UCSF is seeking a Junior Specialist to perform research independently and collaboratively, including designing, conducting, and analyzing experiments under the mentorship of the PI. Experiments mainly include whole-animal tissue clearing, lightsheet imaging, computational analyses, as well as animal behavioral tests, but may involve other research tasks as the project evolves.

The junior specialist will also be responsible for lab management tasks that are essential for its smooth operation, including lab organization, animal husbundry, order placement, administrative work and equipment management.

Required Qualifications:
* Baccalaureate degree (or equivalent degree) in Biological Sciences, Neuroscience, or a related field, or at least four years of research experience.
* Hands-on research experience

Preferred Qualifications:
* Expertise in one of the following areas:

  • Tissue clearing: Whole-animal tissue clearing, light-sheet or confocal imaging and data processing
  • Animal experiments: Basic husbandry, behavioral tests
