To perform routine environmental studies, monitoring and assessments; perform related work. |
| Department Overview: |
Facilities Operations and Maintenance supports the university’s strategic mission by professionally maintaining safe, functional and attractive facilities and grounds, while also providing quality support services to the campus community. |
| Level Scope: |
Applies skills and job knowledge in area of specialization; may adapt procedures, operations, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment to meet needs of area of specialization; may work on non-routine tasks; resolves issues/makes working decisions within area of specialization or responsibility with minimal supervision. |
| Essential Functions: |
● Performs routine air quality, water quality, and/or hazardous waste or related studies, inspections, and assessments. |
| Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: |
● Critical thinking skills; using scientific rules and methods to solve problems. |
| Minimum Qualifications: |
Some knowledge of: the scientific methods used in environmental sampling and monitoring. |
