About the Role
We are seeking a PDRA to join a multidisciplinary research project involving the SHARE Collaborative and collaborators at the University of Basel, University of Bern, and University of Neuchatel (Switzerland). You will contribute to the SNSF-funded project “Is PrEP for all? An interdisciplinary approach to improve HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis awareness, access, and use in Switzerland”, which aims to provide evidence-based guidance on how to improve PrEP awareness, access, and use among populations that would benefit from it.
Working under the supervision of Dr Chloe Pasin and collaborators, you will conduct analyses of the Swiss HIV Cohort Study (SHCS) data to identify and characterise underserved populations who could benefit from PrEP. You will use intersectional approaches to capture the interplay between gender, migration status, sexual orientation, and other relevant factors on outcomes of interest. You will contribute to other work packages informed by the results, including qualitative work.
About You
Candidates should hold a PhD (or be close to completion) in a relevant discipline, such as epidemiology, social epidemiology, data science, or medical statistics. We are looking for candidates who have a strong quantitative background, with experience analysing observational cohort or healthcare datasets. The ideal candidate will have experience or interest in infectious diseases, sexual health, health equity and/or quantitative intersectional approaches.
We particularly welcome applications from people who identify as Black, Asian or Other ethnicity as these groups are underrepresented at this level at Queen Mary.
