This vacancy is open to employees of the University of Nottingham only. 

The School of Medicine invites applications for the position of Academic Unit Coordinator, a key administrative role supporting the effective delivery of activity across the School of Medicine. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and forward‑thinking School, contributing to the smooth running of a wide range of academic and operational processes.

The purpose of the role is to coordinate, implement, and deliver high‑quality administration within the School of Medicine. You will provide professional support and advice to researchers and academics across the Unit, ensuring that day‑to‑day operations are well organised and responsive to the needs of staff and students.

Your responsibilities will span a broad and varied portfolio, including health and safety administration, space and facilities management, finance processes, staffing and recruitment support, handling student enquiries and more. You will act as a reliable point of contact within the School, helping to maintain efficient workflows and ensuring that colleagues receive timely and accurate support.

We are seeking an individual with excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organisational ability, and the confidence to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. You will work as part of an established and supportive administrative team, contributing to a positive, service‑focused culture across the School.
