Rochester Institute of Technology Dubai invites applicants to apply for Multiple Faculty positions at different levels, to teach in the New Media Design program from the Fall Semester 2026-2027. We are seeking candidates who are well-rounded multidisciplinary designers with knowledge in New Media, Visual and Graphic design, 3D-Modelling, Animation, Game Design, Digital Photography and Videography, UX/UI/ Website Design, A/R and V/R and related fields.

Ideal candidates will possess the ability to integrate principles related to areas such as New Media Design, Visual Communication Design, Graphic Design, UX, Experience Design, etc. design. Candidates should be qualified to teach throughout the curriculum, including proficiency in applications such as Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma. Ideal candidates will also bring diverse perspectives and experiences that contribute to a broader understanding of design and how contemporary social and professional environments are shaping our practices and understanding of the field.

Experience & Qualifications:

Associate Professors Minimum 5 years teaching and research experience at same rank. PhD or MFA degree.

Assistant Professors Minimum 3 years teaching and research experience at same rank. PhD or MFA degree.

Lecturers Minimum 3 years teaching and research experience at same rank. MA, MDes, Msc or substantial equivalent industry experience

Adjuncts (Part time) Minimum 3 years teaching and research experience at same rank and/or substantial industry experience. Might be currently working in other universities or in industry.

Required Skills

Ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the RIT Dubai’s continuing commitment to cultural diversity, pluralism, and individual differences. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment. Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (oral and written). Demonstrated leadership and collegiality in academic environments. Strong time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple items effectively. Proficient with digital tools within New Media Design, including, but not limited to Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere), Figma, Blender, Unity, and others. Ability to incorporate Artificial Intelligence into the courses. High standards of academic integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct. Ability to work collaboratively and develop projects with industry.

Duties (May vary according to rank)

Teaching

Deliver high-quality and innovative teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Contribute to curriculum development. Foster industry collaborations and internships (COOPS). Prepare teaching-related reports (course files) in a timely and accurate manner. Provide academic advice to students

Scholarly Activity

Conduct high-quality and original, theoretical, applied, and creative research with measurable impact. Exhibit in reputable international or national venues, participate in design competitions, and develop high quality design works. Publish regularly in peer-reviewed, high-ranking journals, books and or relevant Pursue external research funding and foster partnerships with academia, industry, and government.

Academic Leadership & Service

Actively contribute to committees and strategic initiatives, such as recruitment, exhibitions, conferences and others. Support accreditation and quality assurance processes Participate in outreach, community engagement, and knowledge transfer activities. Mentor colleagues and support a collaborative academic culture. Undertake other duties assigned by the Program Coordinator or Head of Discipline.
