Offer Description

Mission:

Develop functional biomaterials for biomedical applications, i.e. drug delivery, biosensors and tissue regeneration.

Functions to be developed:

  • Produce and characterize electroresponsive nanostructures such as nanofibers, nanoparticles, hydrogels or nanotubes, using different materials synthesis and processing techniques.
  • Working with peptide-based materials and optimizing their self-assembly properties for the development of functional biomaterials.
  • Synthesize and characterize hydrogels based on biopolymers and other polymers combined with nanomaterials for biomedical applications.
  • Perform biocompatibility tests with human cells, as well as electrochemical characterization and controlled release studies using electrical stimuli.
  • Carry out bacterial tests and evaluate the antibacterial properties of the materials developed.
  • Present the results obtained in reports, group meetings and conferences, as well as write scientific articles.
  • Participate in the management of the group by contributing to the application and writing of projects.
