Offer Description

The position corresponds to the Senior Lecturer in the area of Applied Economics, attached to the Department of Applied Economic Analysis within the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism.

The selected candidate will carry out teaching duties in subjects related both to basic training in economics and to applied areas in the field of tourism and sustainable development. Specifically, the teaching responsibilities include:

  • Tourism and Sustainable Development (41321). 3rd year, compulsory, 6 ECTS credits. Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism.
  • Principles of Macroeconomics (40507). 1st year, core subject, 6 ECTS credits. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
  • Principles of Microeconomics (40502). 1st year, core subject, 6 ECTS credits. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

The successful candidate will also be expected to integrate into the department’s research lines, particularly those related to Environmental and Natural Resource Economics, Behavioral Economics, and climate change and tourism, promoting scientific output, participation in competitive research projects, and knowledge transfer within the field of Applied Economics. These research lines correspond to UNESCO Code 5312.99 (Others: Environmental and Natural Resource Economics; Tourism Economics).

The position is subject to a competitive selection process, in accordance with current regulations governing access to the Body of University Associate Professors.

    3.5 If at any point during the process the ULPGC verifies, through the documentation submitted or held by the University, that an applicant does not meet any of the required conditions or has submitted falsified documentation, the applicant will be excluded from the competition and will forfeit all rights derived from participation in the call.

     

    The selection committees shall propose to the Rector, with due justification and on a binding basis, a ranked list of all candidates for appointment.
