Offer Description

IMDEA Water Foundation is seeking to recruit a person to lead the Coordination of the Economic Management Area. The ideal candidate will have a solid academic background in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, as well as extensive experience in the comprehensive management of accounting and financial processes within public or private organizations. Strong ability to coordinate teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize financial information for decision-making will be highly valued:

• Oversee the Foundation’s financial and economic management, ensuring the proper use of public funds and compliance with the principles of legality, efficiency, budgetary stability, and transparency.
• Coordinate and supervise, in collaboration with relevant external service providers, the areas of accounting, taxation, and human resources, promoting internal control procedures and continuous improvement in management.
• Provide technical support to Senior Management and the Foundation’s governing bodies in the preparation, monitoring, and control of annual budgets and any subsequent amendments.
• Prepare financial reports, annual statements, and supporting documentation for Senior Management, the Board of Trustees, and oversight bodies.
• Act as the main liaison with external auditors, supervisory authorities, and public administrations.

La Fundación IMDEA Agua precisa incorporar una persona para el puesto de Coordinación del área de Gestión Económica. Se requiere un perfil con sólida formación en Contabilidad, Finanzas o Administración, así como amplia experiencia en la gestión integral de procesos contables y financieros en organizaciones públicas o privadas. Se valorará especialmente la capacidad para coordinar equipos, asegurar el cumplimiento normativo y optimizar la información financiera para la toma de decisiones. 

Principales funciones:

• Será responsable de la supervisión de la gestión económico-financiera de la Fundación, garantizando la correcta aplicación de los fondos públicos y el cumplimiento de los principios de legalidad, eficiencia, estabilidad presupuestaria y transparencia.
• Coordinará y supervisará, en colaboración con los servicios externos correspondientes, las áreas de contabilidad, fiscalidad y recursos humanos, impulsando procedimientos de control interno y mejora continua de la gestión.
• Prestará apoyo técnico a la Gerencia y a los órganos de gobierno de la Fundación en la elaboración, seguimiento y control de los presupuestos anuales, así como de sus posibles modificaciones.
• Elaborará informes económico-financieros, memorias y documentación justificativa para la Dirección, el Patronato y los organismos de control.
• Actuará como interlocución ante auditorías externas, órganos de fiscalización y administraciones públicas.

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Hold a higher university degree (Bachelor’s degree plus Master’s degree or equivalent), corresponding to EQF Level 7 (MECES 3) , in Business Administration, Economics, Finance and Accounting, or related fields.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Accounting, Finance, or Administration.
• Have an advanced level of Spanish and English, both spoken and written.

Valuable requirements:

• Professional experience in accounting for Foundations.
• Experience in the use of NAVISION.
• Work experience in research centers.

• Acreditar una experiencia profesional mínima de 10 años en el ámbito de la Contabilidad, Finanzas o Administración.

• Experiencia en el uso de NAVISION.

• Gross annual salary: between €42,000 and €46,000
