We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Communications professional to join our team. This pivotal role, open at either Assistant Manager or Manager level depending on experience, offers an exciting opportunity to elevate LKYSPP's global visibility and reputation. You will be instrumental in crafting and executing strategic communications initiatives that amplify our thought leadership, promote our impactful programmes, and foster meaningful connections with diverse stakeholders, including prospective students, partners, policymakers, and the wider public. Job Description

 

1.Strategic Communications & Content Development

 

Develop and implement integrated communication strategies that align with the School's strategic objectives and enhance its global reputation across all channels (digital, social, print, events).

Create compelling, audience-centric content, including thought leadership articles, news features, multimedia (podcasts, videos, infographics), translating complex ideas into accessible and engaging formats.

 

 

2. Media Relations 

 

Formulate and execute proactive media relations strategies to elevate LKYSPP's thought leadership and secure high-impact coverage in local, regional, and international media.

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key journalists, editors, and media outlets.

Draft and distribute impactful media releases, proactively pitch compelling story ideas, and position faculty experts for interviews and commentary.

Act as a primary media contact, managing enquiries, coordinating interviews, and ensuring timely, accurate responses that uphold the School's brand and reputation.

 

 

3. Digital Marketing & Campaign Management

 

Design and execute innovative digital marketing campaigns to drive thought leadership, student recruitment for our academic programmes, promote executive education offerings, and highlight key School initiatives.

Develop engaging SEO-optimised copy and curate visually appealing assets that resonate with target audiences and support brand storytelling.

Manage the coordination of all campaign assets (e.g., images, captions, links) and monitor campaign performance using advanced analytics tools to optimise reach, engagement and conversion.

Liaise effectively with external vendors for digital advertising, marketing, and paid media placements ensuring optimal ROI and alignment with strategic goals.



4. Performance Analytics & Reporting

 

Utilise media monitoring and digital analytics tools to track media coverage, social media engagement, website traffic, audience sentiment and competitor activities, providing comprehensive insights.

Generate regular, data-driven performance reports and strategic recommendations on communications effectiveness, audience engagement, and return on investment to inform senior leadership decisions.

 

 

5. Publications & Brand Stewardship

 

Ensure all internal and external communications adhere strictly to the School’s messaging guidelines, brand identity, and editorial standards to maintain a consistent institutional voice

Draft and meticulously edit a range of communications materials, including event summaries and faculty biographies for various publicity and outreach efforts

Develop comprehensive communications toolkits and support materials for major School initiatives.

Transform complex academic research, policy insights, and event highlights into engaging, audience-friendly formats with impactful narratives for broader dissemination.

Oversee the end-to-end production of key corporate publications, brochures, and newsletters, managing budgets and coordinating seamlessly with designers, printers, and external vendors to ensure exceptional quality and timely delivery.


Qualifications

 

  • A recognised Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Media, Journalism, Public Relations, or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum 3+ years of progressive experience in marketing, content creation, corporate communications, or public relations. Candidates with 10+ years of experience should demonstrate proven leadership in strategic communications.
  • Prior experience within higher education, the public sector, or a research-intensive environment is highly advantageous.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to distil complex information into clear, compelling narratives tailored for diverse audiences. Superior editing and proofreading are essential.
  • Proven proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management, content management systems (CMS), and SEO/SEM best practices. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and optimise digital performance
  • Excellent project management, organisational, and multitasking skills, with a track record of successfully managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Ability to coordinate effectively with diverse stakeholders and teams across all organisational levels.
  • Experience in supporting senior leadership communications, stakeholder engagement, or crisis communications will be a significant asset.
  • Working knowledge of design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and demonstrable skills in photography/video editing, podcast production, or other multimedia content creation will be an advantage.
