A solid academic background in Physics/Engineering or a closely related field, preferably with:

-Experience in designing, implementing and operating scientific experimental arrangements;

- Basic knowledge in the field of X-ray optics and X-ray phase imaging as well as plasma physics;

- Demonstrated experience in working in a scientific research team and developing scientific articles and effective communication and collaboration skills;

- Structured and organized approach to the activity

- Understanding of clinical imaging needs and adapting technical solutions accordingly.

- Computer operating/programming skills: Microsoft Office Suite, C++, Labview, Matlab, COMSOL, IDL, Python or other programs for data and image processing;

A high level of intellectual curiosity, analytical rigor, and a strong commitment to policy-relevant research.

Eligible candidates must cumulatively meet the following conditions:

a) hold a master degree in relevant fields;

b) meet the specific conditions applicable to EU/ non-EU citizens, with recognition/ equivalence of the diplomas in accordance with legislation;

c) no criminal record

d) must have strong written and oral communication skills in English;

The selection process for the newly created research jobs within IFIN-HH for the Dr.Laser Project is planned to take place according to the selection guide, as follows:

Stage I – Pre-selection procedure, consisting of the analysis of the submitted applications and, respectively, the verification of the fulfillment of the professional training and competence conditions, in relation to the requirements of the positions and the establishment, by the Selection Committee, of the candidates to support the second stage of the selection process; 

In the pre-selection stage, candidates will submit the following documents:

- Application form (Annex 1 - https://drlaser.eli-np.ro/jobs.php  ); 

- CV containing complete information regarding studies, experience, competences, skills, in Europass format; 

- Copies of academic records depending on the position for which the selection process is being carried out (bachelor's and master's degrees will be accompanied by copies of transcripts)

- A list containing the names and contact details of at least 3 experienced specialists (professors, managers or coordinators from the current or previous workplace) in order to request recommendations regarding the candidate's competence and professional experience. These persons will be contacted only with the candidate's prior consent.

 - Declaration of consent for the processing of personal data (Annex 2 - https://drlaser.eli-np.ro/jobs.php  ) 

- Copy of the identity card or, as the case may be, any other document attesting identity, according to the law;

 - Copy of the marriage certificate or proof of name change, as the case may be;
