Offer Description

Over the past decade, the amount of digital information has exploded, also within healthcare. This data offers tremendous opportunities for research and innovation. Initiatives such as the European Health Data Space (EHDS) and Health-RI focus on (inter)national collaboration between diverse data sources. Solid Research Data Management (RDM) is the basis for this. To better support and guide researchers, we are looking for a data steward. Do you believe in the power of data-driven healthcare? Are you an enthusiastic professional who enjoys promoting FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable), modelling data, and supporting researchers? Then we are looking for you!
As a data steward within the RTC-DS, you are the expert in data for scientific research and serve as a point of contact for researchers from various departments within Radboudumc and regional partners. You also support local data stewards located within these departments or regional partners. The ideal candidate has knowledge of (and experience with) the FAIR principles, RDM requirements, and semantic interoperability.
Within Radboudumc, the RTC-DS plays a leading role in developing and promoting RDM and FAIR policies (including for local data stewards).
Tasks and responsibilities

  • Ensuring the visibility and adoption of FAIR RDM (together with your colleagues).
  • Developing and promoting RDM policies and FAIR processes.
  • Semantic modelling of data, with a focus on clinical routine-care data.
  • Supporting and training local data stewards within Radboudumc and regional partners.
  • Drafting standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and manuals.
  • Participating in national initiatives such as the Digital Competence Center for Life Sciences and Health and Health-RI.
  • Contributing to the registration of datasets and clinical data in the Radboud Data Repository and the National Health Data Catalogue.
  • Supporting researchers with their Data Management Plans (DMPs).
  • Developing training materials on RDM, FAIR principles, tooling, applications, and infrastructure, and delivering these within the organization (e.g., through teaching sessions).
