[Work content and job description]
Course name「Citizen Politics in Japan and Beyond」
Citizen Politics in Japan and Beyond is an intermediate-level course that introduces students to data analysis using large-scale public opinion surveys from around the world. Focusing on the real sentiments and preferences of diverse populations, the course challenges stereotypes and assumptions, prompting students to explore essential questions such as: What do citizens truly think about key issues? What expectations do they have from their governments? How frequently do they engage in various activities, and what role does religion play in their lives? By learning to analyze beliefs, values, and lifestyles, students will gain invaluable skills that are crucial for policy-makers, journalists, and business professionals, equipping them to better understand and respond to the dynamics of global public opinion.
