Novel electronic device technologies that can flexibly change their shape, function, and operation in response to their environment and targets are expected to serve as fundamental technologies for realizing next-generation intelligent systems in diverse fields such as bioelectronics, robotics, and energy conversion systems. Through the development of flexible materials and stretchable conductors, as well as the design of highly reliable and efficient electronic circuits and devices using nano- and microstructures, these technologies are expected to be extended to applications including biosensors, autonomous adaptive control, and energy harvesting. Such research aims to advance the harmony between electronics and humans, robots, and the environment.
This field conducts research and education on electronic devices that can adapt to a wide range of environments and applications, based on core technologies for the design, fabrication, and control of wearable devices, stretchable sensors, implantable devices, and flexible devices.

Successful candidates will belong to Graduate School of Engineering and will be engaged in research and education related to the above-mentioned. ①Salary is paid based on the Regulations on Employees Salary at National University Corporation Tohoku University.
②In accordance with the University's Salary Regulations, allowances such as a Commuting Allowance, Housing Allowance, and Dependent Allowance will be provided, depending on eligibility requirements.
③Enrollment in the MEXT Mutual Aid Association (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology), Unemployment Insurance, and Workers' Accident Compensation Insurance.
