The successful candidate will lead experimental research in the field of biophysics, focusing on higher-order biological phenomena such as neural networks in the brain and the construction and function of multicellular systems

[Work content and job description]
The successful candidate will lead experimental research in the field of biophysics, focusing on higher-order biological phenomena such as neural networks in the brain and the construction and function of multicellular systems. Applicants should be highly motivated to pioneer new interdisciplinary research areas bridging physics and life sciences, and actively collaborate with researchers both within and outside the department. In addition to conducting research, the candidate will be responsible for teaching, supervising graduate students, and contributing to the administrative operations of the university. The position also involves joint appointments in the Department of Physics, Graduate School of Science, and the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, with responsibilities in education and administration for these programs. Japanese language proficiency is required for some administrative and educational duties.
