The Core Program in the Faculty of Liberal Arts at Sophia University invites applications for a non-tenured, part-time (hijokin) instructor position to teach English Academic Literacy, beginning in September 2026. Students in this English-medium instruction program have advanced English proficiency.

[Work content and job description]
The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching two classes focused on advanced academic reading, writing, and presentations. Each class meets twice a week for 100-minute sessions (four koma in total). Classes are scheduled either on Mondays and Thursdays or on Tuesdays and Fridays, and meet in the morning or afternoon.

The position is renewable on a yearly basis for up to five years. Please note that the maximum years of employment may vary depending on the personnel and curriculum planning of Sophia Corporation.
