Post Summary
The Research Fellow will conduct a research project examining how Translation Studies, with a primary focus on literary and cultural translation, can respond to changing student expectations and evolving professional and creative sector demands, including the implications of generative AI. The Fellow will design and carry out research activities, including data collection, analysis, and synthesis, to inform evidence-based recommendations for postgraduate programme design and curriculum development in literary translation.
Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Research Fellow will produce outputs such as reports, scholarly publications, and ultimately, a roadmap for the development of Translation Studies programmes. The role involves engagement with academic colleagues, postgraduate students, and external stakeholders, contributing to the wider scholarly and professional activities of the Trinity Centre for Literary and Cultural Translation.
The position offers opportunities for the Fellow to develop advanced research, project management, and dissemination skills in the field of literary translation studies, supporting progression toward an independent academic or professional career in literary, cultural, or applied translation contexts.
