The primary purpose of this post is to contribute to speech and language therapy teaching, research and administrative activities in the Department of Clinical Speech and Language Studies. The successful applicant will have an established reputation in teaching and research in the field of speech and language therapy and will be expected to contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in this field and in the interdisciplinary curricular teaching, supervision and mentoring.
This post is central to undergraduate educational activities within the Department of Clinical Speech and Language Studies. In particular, the appointee will be expected to collaborate with colleagues in teaching, research supervision and clinical practice support for students registered for the undergraduate programme as well as with administrative management of the programme. In addition, the post-holder will contribute to postgraduate activities through teaching and/or project supervision in the area of speech and language therapy.
The Department requires a candidate to support and conduct cutting edge research in speech and language therapy, to aid the development of curricula, advanced practice and support relationships with new and existing services provider partners.
Post Status: Specific Purpose - This is a specific purpose, fulltime post to provide cover for the role of a senior academic in Clinical Speech and Language Studies until the permanent senior academic role is filled.
Salary: Appointment will be made on Assistant Professor Salary Scale (109) commensurate with qualifications / experience and in line with Public Sector Pay Policy [€43,425 to €103,582 per annum]
