Research Assistant

Duties 

The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project – “The rise of social media and the changing landscape of financial journalism”.  

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a)    an honours degree or an equivalent qualification; and

(b)    strong background in accounting, finance or computing science/natural language processing/machine learning.

Preference will be given to those who are proficient in Python, adept at processing large-scale data and have worked with large accounting or finance datasets or have a proven record in utilizing API’s and deploying models from GitHub.  The ideal candidate should also have a keen interest in pursing a PhD in Accounting or Finance in future.
