Part-time Research Assistant

[Appointment period: two months]

Duties

The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “Cancer and migration in Hong Kong: A translational research project”.  He/She will be required to:

(a)    conduct various forms of data analysis for the project, including transcription and qualitative and statistical analysis of corpus data; 

(b)    prepare project reports; and

(c)    perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegate(s).

Qualifications

Applicants should have an honours degree in English Language Studies or a related discipline.  They should also have good communication skills in English and Tagalog/Filipino.  Preference will be given to those with:

(a)    previous experience in qualitative research;

(b)    a good working knowledge of quantitative and qualitative approaches and methods; and

(c)    high proficiency in English and Tagalog/Filipino.

Conditions of Service

The remuneration rate is HK$125 per hour.
