Assistant Finance Manager (System Support and Programming) (Temporary Appointment)

[Appointment period: six months]

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    provide daily technical support for the University’s Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) system and other financial systems, including user access management, workflow issues and module functionalities as well as troubleshoot system issues; 

(b)    respond to changing business needs, participate in system enhancements and upgrade as well as support period-end closing;

(c)    coordinate business continuity plan and drill, and provide support to ensure compliance with IT audit requirements;

(d)    develop and optimise Structured Query Language (SQL) queries, stored procedures, triggers and views; 

(e)    maintain and enhance workflows of Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) to consolidate data and meet reporting and analytics requirements;

(f)    design, develop, test, and maintain Robotic Process Automation (RPA) bots using platforms, such as Python or Power Automate;

(g)    prepare documentation, training materials and standard operating procedures for developed programs and system support; and

(h)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have: 

(a)    a recognised degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting or related disciplines;

(b)    at least five years of post-qualification work experience in support and implementation of a premium enterprise-grade ERP (preferably Oracle E-Business Suite), with solid experience in ETL tools such as Oracle Analytics Server and hands-on experience in Python, Power Automate, and SQL;

(c)    a good understanding of accounting, payment and procurement processes as well as sound knowledge of data privacy; 

(d)    a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and

(e)    strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
