The Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences (MPI MiS) invites applications from established, highly qualified international researchers for its
Visiting Scientist Program.
MPI MiS is a leading global center for research at the interface of fundamental mathematics and the natural, engineering, and social sciences. We seek to foster new mathematical concepts and structures driven by scientific inquiry. Applications are welcome from distinguished scholars whose research aligns with or complements the mathematical fields actively pursued at the Institute, including:

• Applied Analysis, Partial Differential Equations, and Calculus of Variations
• Geometry, Groups, and Dynamics
• Nonlinear Algebra, Combinatorics, and Algebraic Geometry

The Visiting Scientist Program offers an ideal opportunity to dedicate an extended period (typically 1–6 months, longer stays are possible) to research in a stimulating, interdisciplinary environment with no teaching obligations. Successful applicants will be expected to engage in close collaboration with a specific research group or director at the Institute, enriching our academic community through their expertise and knowledge exchange.

• Curriculum vitae, including the list of publications.
• A detailed proposed research project (max 2 pages).
• The desired duration of the stay.
• The specific research groups or individuals at MPI MiS with whom collaboration is sought.
