Scientist / Postdoctoral-fellow (m/f/d) in the Excellence Cluster Synthimmune

Our department (head: Prof. Dr. Adelheid Cerwenka;(https://www.umm.uni heidelberg.de/immunbiochemie/) focuses on the research of (innate) immune cells and their exploitation in the immunotherapy for cancer and inflammatory diseases. https://synthimmune.de/

Your responsibilities:

• Perform, shape and further develop an exciting project with the goal to improve Natural Killer cell function in cancer Identify functional modules required for high anti-tumor NK cell effector functions using cutting-edge, state of the art large scale screening technologies, microfluidic analysis, CRISPR screens and functional assays Use synthetic biology approaches to harness NK cell functions Apply bioinformatic analysis and integration of patient data Collaborate within network and projects of the Department of Immunobiochemistry

Your profile:

• Doctorate e. g. in biochemistry, biology or related fields Background in immunology (molecular biology or bioinformatics) is an advantage Scientific curiosity, enthusiasm for science, strong motivation to understand in depth mechanisms in immunology Strong communication skills within our network, project management skills, team player
