Offer Description

The Quantitative Interactomics and Disease-Related Networks team, led by Dr. Gergo Gogl, is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher with a strong background in recombinant protein technologies and biochemistry.

Our team investigates previously uncharacterized motif-mediated protein–protein interactions that play crucial roles in biological processes such as cell signaling and cancer. The successful candidate will contribute to our efforts to map these interactions at the proteome scale using innovative biophysical and interactomic approaches, including the native holdup assay.

Main responsibilities
-Cloning plasmids for recombinant protein expression.
-Producing and purifying proteins from bacterial expression systems.
-Participating in quantitative interactomics experiments and data analysis.
-Development of cellular assays to validate interactions

Required qualifications
-PhD (obtained within 6-12 months prior to recruitment) in biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related discipline.
-Demonstrated experience in cloning and recombinant protein production and purification.
-Strong expertise in biochemistry, biophysics, cell biology approaches is required
-Teaching expertise is a plus or proof that the applicant is suited to train new team members

Opportunities
The postdoctoral researcher will have the opportunity to learn and apply state-of-the-art methods to characterize protein–protein interactions at both low- and high-throughput scales.
