IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Center is a leading research, development, and innovation centre active in the fields of High-Performance Computing (HPC), Data Analytics (HPDA), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Quantum Computing (QC) and their applications. We have strong international links and employ more than 210 scientific, technical, and administrative staff. At present, IT4Innovations is running two supercomputers: Karolina (15.7 PFlop/s, installed in the summer of 2021), Barbora (849 TFlop/s, installed in the autumn of 2019), and is a member of the consortium operating LUMI, one of Europe's most powerful supercomputers. The VLQ quantum computer was installed at IT4Innovations in 2025. For more details, see www.it4i.eu .

Activity description:
· modelling and optimization of electrical networks using open source tools (preferably Julia or Python),
· development and testing of software tools for electrical network modelling,
· participation in research projects,
· publishing activities, including presentations of results to stakeholders,
· development of algorithms aligned with the needs of IT4Innovations projects.

Full time equivalent: 0,5 - 1,0
Type of job contract: fixed term employment (ideally 1 year, or as agreed)
Expected start of employment: 1. 5. 2026 or as agreed

We require:
· completed or nearly completed university degree (Bachelor's (Bc.) or Master's (MSc.)) at the time of employment,
· experience with modelling electrical networks using open source tools (preferably Julia or Python),
· advantage: publishing activities, including presentations of results to stakeholders and/or experience with parallel programming and machine learning / AI,
· willingness to continue learning and work in a team,
· working knowledge of English.
