About Us

The International Neurodegenerative Disorders Research Center (INDRC) is a private, not-for-profit research institute established in 2021. We unite leading experts in neurodegeneration and artificial intelligence to drive breakthroughs in the treatment and prevention of Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative conditions.

We are also the coordinator and host of CLARA (Center for Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing in System Brain Research), a prestigious Center of Excellence funded by Horizon Europe and the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports (€43M, 2024–2030). CLARA leverages AI, quantum computing, and supercomputing to advance system-level brain research.

Together, INDRC and CLARA are key consortium partners in the Czech AI Factory (CZAI) project, a Horizon Europe initiative aimed at fostering AI services and deep-tech innovation and technology transfer across Europe.

INDRC and CLARA invites applications for a Senior Manager position of Business Development and Technology Transfer of the Czech AI Factory Project. Czech AI Factory (CZAI) means a project under the call HORIZON-JU-EUROHPC-2025-AI-01-IBA-01, ID 101314740 including the complementary project of the Czech national co-funding.

Job Description

We are seeking a visionary Senior Manager of Business Development and Technology Transfer lead the development and implementation of the CZAI innovation program. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and practical market application, driving the commercialization of AI and neurodegeneration technologies.

This includes, not limited to:

• development and implementation sustainable and scalable Business Model for innovation,
• commercialization, industrial uptake, and widespread adoption across Europe,
• integrated Support Ecosystem for Deep-Tech Services and Innovation Management
• shaping frameworks that enable the identification, assessment, and progression of research outcomes toward practical application.

The successful candidate(s) will contribute to establishing processes that encourage a culture of innovation across the centre, help define general pathways for commercialization, and promote the responsible use of emerging technologies developed within the CZAI ecosystem. The role also includes guiding INDRC` s , CLARA’s and CZAI leadership on strategic opportunities, helping evaluate potential partnerships, and participating in high‑level discussions on positioning the centre within the broader research and innovation landscape.

Candidates are expected to:

• Undergo continuous analysis of market trends, user requirements, and the competitive environment to guide the business strategy of the CZAI Factory and support the identification of research outcomes with potential for broader application.
• Service portfolio development and business planning.
• Facilitate interactions with external partners from industry, academia, and the public sector.
• Systematic management of the customer journey within the CZAI Factory, serving as a single-entry point for all users
• Develop and maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
• Provide strategic input to leadership on opportunities, trends, and collaboration prospects.
• Deliver innovation to market activities, including services such as: IPR audits, and protection (in compliance with FAIR IPR principles), innovation management, business coaching, legal and business support, and connection to Business & Venture Capital Networks, provide continuous monitoring of trends and technology scouting (e.g. using the JRC’s Innovation Radar), assistance in securing pre/seed funding.
• Promote an internal environment that supports innovation and translational thinking.

Requirements for the position:

Applicants should have the following qualifications:

• MBA or Master’s degree in economics, management, business administration, or similar field;
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience, such as technology transfer, executive company leadership, strategy consulting, business development, corporate development, early-stage company formation, etc.;
• Direct experience with implementing and leading spin-offs from research institutions;
• Experience and proven ability to coordinate and organize interdisciplinary projects and teams;
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English;
• High motivation for implementing own visions;
• Team player with the ability to communicate and eager to look for and exploit synergies INDRC and its network provides.
