DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERING AND GEOMATICS

RESEARCH FELLOW (POSTDOCTORAL RECEARCHER– R2**) POSITION

 

Applications are invited from candidates who possess the necessary qualifications in order to fill one (1)Part-timeResearch Fellow position (Postdoctoral Researcher– R2**) atthe Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics in the field of “Transport and Infrastructure Systems”.

Applicants should have:

  • University Degree (undergraduate level) or a Master’s degree and a Doctoral degree from a recognized university in one or a combination of the following fields of study: Civil Engineering with specialization in Transportation Engineering or Highway Engineering, Transport Planning, Surveying Engineering, or another related field with demonstrated involvement in Transportation Systems.
  • Experience in conducting research related to the subject area.
  • Organizational skills
  • Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written) 
  •  

    The following will be considered as an advantage:

  • Experience in preparing, submitting, and managing research projects.
  • Mobility experience/International and professional mobility
  • Programming experience in a high-level programming language
  • Knowledge of the Greek language for potential communication with competent authorities.
  •  

    Τhe appointment will be for a period of twelve (12) months. The monthly gross salary for the position will be €1099.22, based on the legislation currently in effect. From this amount, employee contributions will be deducted, according to current legislation. It is noted that there is provision for 13th salary (the cost of the 13th salary has been proportionally incorporated in the monthly remuneration as analyzed above).
