1. Senior Assistant, employed under a full-time, fixed-term contract, for the scientific area of ​​Technical Sciences, scientific field of Naval Architecture, on the scientific project of the Croatian Science Foundation - Reliability and uncertainty of ship decision support system for safe and greener navigation (REBUS) IP-2022-10-2821, Project Manager, Full. Prof. Jasna Prpić-Oršić, Ph. D.

• Candidates in the competition must meet the conditions for associate positions prescribed by the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette 119/22) and the Instructions of the Croatian Science Foundation for monitoring projects financed from the programs "Research Programs", "Establishment Research Programs" and "Bilateral Research Programs (Weave)" (in force from December 23, 2025)
• Trial work is six months.
• Persons of both sexes can apply for the competition under equal conditions. Terms that have a gender significance are used neutrally and refer equally to men and women.
• Candidates who obtained their education outside the Republic of Croatia must submit a reasoned opinion of the competent agency on the foreign educational qualification.
• Candidates who, based on special regulations - the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families (Official Gazette 121/17, 98/19, 84/21 and 156/23), Article 48 of the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War (Official Gazette 84/21), Article 48f of the Act on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids (Official Gazette 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 02/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103/03, 148/13 and 98/19), Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (Official Gazette 157/13, 152/14., 39/18. and 32/20.), invoke the right to priority in employment, are obliged to invoke this right in their application for the competition and to attach all evidence required by special regulations for the exercise of this right. The aforementioned candidates shall have priority in employment in relation to other candidates, only under equal conditions.

• Candidates who invoke the right to priority in employment pursuant to Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (Official Gazette 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20) are required to invoke this right in their application for the competition and submit all evidence of meeting the required conditions, as well as proof of disability. • By registering for the competition, candidates expressly agree that the Faculty of Engineering, University of Rijeka, as the manager of the collection of personal data, can collect, use and further process data for the purpose of implementing the competition procedure in accordance with valid positive legal regulations.
• Applications must be submitted no later than 30 days after the announcement of the tender in the Official Gazette.

• The Faculty reserves the right to conduct candidate testing, which candidates who submitted timely and complete applications to the competition will be informed about at a later date.
• The faculty reserves the right to cancel the competition and not select any candidate without a special explanation.
• Incomplete, untimely and applications that do not meet the formal conditions of the competition will not be considered.
